Three Dimensional Mixer
The three dimensional mixer drives a stainless steel barrel through composite plane swing and three dimensional tumbling motion via a speed regulating motor, shaft and rotary connecting rod. Material inside moves simultaneously in the circumferential, radial and axial directions, achieving mutual flow, diffusion and doping that reaches 99.9 percent uniformity. Because the motion is non centrifugal, no separation or accumulation of material proportion occurs. Nine models from CWTD 10 to CWTD 1500 cover 10 to 1500 liter barrel volume and 5 to 750 kg working load, with motor power from 0.37 to 11 kW and fully adjustable speed.
Application
Manufacturers blend active ingredient with excipient powder, lubricant and disintegrant to 99.9 percent uniformity before capsule filling and tablet compression, where proportion deviation is not acceptable. Health supplement producers mix vitamin mineral premix, protein powder and botanical extract blends for nutraceutical capsule and sachet packing. Food factories blend seasoning powder, coffee premix, tea blend and enzyme powder formulations requiring high uniformity without shear damage. Chemical facilities mix catalyst powder, resin blend, dye intermediate and specialty chemical premix at controlled loading volume to prevent batch to batch ratio deviation. Cosmetic manufacturers blend face powder, loose powder base, pigment and botanical ingredient formulations that must not segregate during processing.

The CWTD motion adds simultaneous radial and circumferential components that counteract this migration by continuously redistributing material across all three axes. - Our cosmetic powder blend includes light fluffy talc and dense titanium dioxide. Will the no centrifugal design prevent the dense component from settling to the barrel bottom?
- Correct. Conventional rotating drum mixers generate centrifugal force that drives denser particles outward and causes them to settle at the barrel wall or ends between cycles. The CWTD compound motion does not produce a net centrifugal vector so dense titanium dioxide particles remain distributed throughout the talc matrix during and after mixing. This is the direct engineering basis for the 99.9 percent uniformity specification.
- We run 200 kg batches of seasoning powder six days per week. Which model should we specify and what is the expected motor duty cycle?
- The CWTD 400 handles up to 200 kg working load and is the correct model for this application. At 200 kg load, the 4 kW motor runs within its rated duty with thermal headroom for continuous six day production. We recommend a scheduled barrel seal and connecting rod inspection every 500 operating hours for this duty level.
- Can we adjust the mixing speed during a batch to apply gentle initial mixing followed by more intensive blending?
- Yes. The speed regulating motor allows rotate speed adjustment from 0 to the model maximum during operation. Standard practice for fragile coated granules is to start at the lower end of the speed range for the first two minutes to distribute material without mechanical stress, then increase to operating speed for the remainder of the cycle.
- What GMP documentation is available for a pharmaceutical regulatory submission and does the machine meet EU equipment directives?
