Granular Packaging Machine
The PM-280A granular packaging machine automatically forms bags from roll film, measures and fills granule product in 1 to 100g doses, seals, cuts and counts at 30 to 60 bags per minute. Touchscreen and PLC control manage the complete cycle with stable performance and easy parameter setup. An intelligent PID thermostat with precise detection holds seal bar temperature within plus or minus 1 degree Celsius, eliminating seal failure from thermal deviation. Stepper motor driven bag length adjustment covers 30 to 180mm bag length and 20 to 140mm width. Optional batch number printing is configurable to customer specification. Total power is 1.4 kW at 220V 50Hz.

Food manufacturers pack sugar granule, salt, rice, seasoning granule, coffee bean, tea granule, dried fruit piece, candy and snack granule into portion sachets and retail pouches with consistent fill weight and secure heat seal for shelf life and transit protection. Pharmaceutical companies pack effervescent granule, herbal granule, vitamin chewable tablet, oral granule medicine and nutritional granule into unit dose sachets with optional batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date printing for regulatory traceability. Chemical facilities pack catalyst granule, silica gel desiccant, molecular sieve, resin bead and industrial granule additive into measured dose sachets for laboratory and production supply. Cosmetic producers pack bath salt granule, exfoliant bead, sugar scrub and herbal granule into branded sachets and sample packs for retail and e-commerce fulfillment.

- We pack sugar granule with a target fill weight of 10g per sachet and a required accuracy of plus or minus 0.2g. What measuring system does the PM-280A use for granule and what accuracy can it achieve
- The PM-280A uses a volumetric cup measuring system calibrated to target fill weight. For free flowing granule with consistent bulk density such as granulated sugar, volumetric accuracy of plus or minus 1 to 2 percent of fill weight is standard. For a 10g target this corresponds to plus or minus 0.1 to 0.2g, which meets your specification. For irregular shaped granule or material with variable particle size, we recommend specifying a weighing fill head option, which achieves plus or minus 0.5 per
- We need to pack effervescent granule that is very sensitive to moisture during the packaging process. Which film type should we specify and how does the machine prevent moisture ingress during filling
- Aluminum foil PE laminate is the standard film for moisture sensitive effervescent granule. It provides the lowest moisture vapor transmission rate of the compatible film options. The forming collar and fill tube geometry minimizes the open exposure time between the film forming step and the top seal. For production in high humidity environments, we recommend positioning the machine in an air conditioned or dehumidified room and using roll film stored in sealed packaging until mounted on the mac
- Our granule particle size is irregular ranging from 2 to 8mm and some pieces are elongated. Will the measuring cup and fill tube handle this particle size without bridging or jamming?
- For granule up to 8mm with irregular shape, the fill tube diameter and cup opening are sized to prevent bridging on standard particle sizes. We recommend specifying the particle size range and shape description at order stage so we confirm the fill tube diameter is appropriate for your material. If elongated pieces are present, a vibration assist option on the fill tube reduces bridging tendency and maintains consistent flow from the measuring cup to the bag.
- We currently fill granule manually into stand up pouches and want to automate. Can the PM-280A form the full bag including bottom gusset or does it only make flat sachets?
- The PM-280A standard configuration forms pillow bag and three side seal flat sachets from roll film. Stand up pouch with bottom gusset requires a different forming collar and film path configuration. We offer a gusseted bottom forming option on request. Contact us with your target pouch dimensions and we confirm whether the PM-280A can be configured for your format or whether a dedicated stand up pouch machine is the correct equipment choice.
- We need batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date printed on every sachet. Is the printing system built in or do we need a separate printer?
- Optional batch number printing is available and customer specified at order stage. The standard printing module handles batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date as separate configurable fields. The printer mounts on the machine frame and triggers in sync with each bag cycle. For pharmaceutical grade printing with ink specification certificate and validation documentation, specify this requirement at order and we supply the appropriate printer module.
